Justin Mai, PT
Registered Physiotherapist
Justin completed his Bachelor's of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa before obtaining his Master's of Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney. Dealing with personal acute and chronic pain and injuries led him to pursue this career path where he aims to utilize evidence-based research and his experience to help guide your recovery.
He believes that there are no secrets or magical treatments when it comes to your health and recovery. His approach to care is simple, based on research, and aims to put you at the forefront of your recovery. You can expect your time together to involve education, movement, and manual therapy. By education, Justin means helping you understand your specific situation. He appreciates that every individual presents uniquely and strives towards understanding and meeting your specific goals and needs. You know yourself best and Justin is here to listen. Justin has gained valuable experience working in various hospitals and private practice settings. From working with ankle injuries to post-stroke recovery, he enjoys working with all individuals. Whether you're an adolescent dealing with a sports injury, someone experiencing pain from activities of daily living or training, or a young-at-heart senior wanting to improve your daily function; Justin would love the opportunity to work by your side. Justin's oldest client was 103 years old! During his spare time, Justin enjoys lifting mediocre weight at the gym, (trying to) read more, and staying up to date with current research literature in the fields of physiotherapy, cognitive science, and health & fitness. But let's be real, it's also nice to sit back and relax with a cup of coffee. If you have any questions or concerns prior to booking or unsure if physiotherapy is right for you, book a free 15-minute consultation with Justin. You can also reach him through the question form below or find him on Instagram @jmaiphysio. He looks forward to meeting you! |
