Prenatal and Postpartum Physiotherapy
It is common for women to experience back, hip, and/or pelvic pain while pregnant, or for a period of time following their delivery. Whether it's due to the weight gain during pregnancy, the hormonal changes the occur during pregnancy, or the stress of holding and carrying a newborn child, the result can be painful and limiting.
If you're pregnant and experiencing any pain or problems, or are continuing to have problems following your pregnancy, physiotherapy can help. |
Whether your goal is to make the delivery process safer and healthier, or to help healing and reconditioning following birth or c-section, a customized treatment plan will be created by your physiotherapist to help you reach those goals.
Treatment options may include techniques such as heat, soft tissue release, acupuncture, mobilization, stretches, strengthening exercises, amongst others. |
